3.2 Installation

For this step, it is necessary to be logged in as the root user, either directly or with the su command. Installation follows a similar procedure to that for compilation (as described in Section 3.1), however the running of make is replaced with make install. This will install into the currently running kernel's module directory. If you wish to use a non-standard directory, please edit the included Makefile.
